Elon Musk bought a horse farm in Texas near Tesla's Gigafactory, author Walter Isaacson wrote. The biographer said Musk envisioned a house that looked like "something fell out of space." The Wall Street Journal has reported Musk was building a glass house, but he has denied the reports. "He needs a place where his sole resides and that's what the horse farm will be for him." At the time, Musk denied living in the modular house, saying that he lives in a different small house in Texas.

Elon Musk spent Christmas Eve moving X's data servers from one facility to another. The facility was a major cost for X, according to Musk's new biography penned by Walter Isaacson. The next day, Christmas Eve, Musk called in reinforcements including friends from Tesla, SpaceX, and The Boring Company to procure equipment and tools needed to move the servers. Musk later admitted the "whole Sacramento shutdown was a mistake," after the lack of servers caused a whole host of issues. Isaacson wrote that Musk's Sacramento incident was "an example of his recklessness, his impatience with pushback, and the way he intimidated people."

Elon Musk's Boring Company launched a $100 perfume called "Burnt Hair" in October. Last October, he added "perfume salesman" to his list when he began selling a scent called "Burnt Hair" to the world. The unisex fragrance is sold through The Boring Company, where it was originally listed for $100. Upon sniffing Burnt Hair directly from the bottle he concluded that it actually smelled better than most perfumes. "It's pretty gross…It does smell like burnt hair."
